Establishing a network connection

To use Internet radio, streaming services, software updates and other network functions, the MEISTERSTÜCK 3 must be connected to a network.

For quick setup, you have two options: a wireless connection via WPS or a wired connection via LAN.

Connection via WPS

If your router supports WPS, you can connect the MEISTERSTÜCK 3 to your Wi-Fi network without manually entering the Wi-Fi password.

Press the WPS button on your router to start the WPS function.

Then press the WPS button on the rear of the MEISTERSTÜCK 3. The device automatically establishes the connection to your Wi-Fi network.

The WPS function must be supported by your router. For information about your router’s WPS function, refer to its operating instructions.

Connection via LAN

Alternatively, you can connect the MEISTERSTÜCK 3 directly via a network cable to your router or network.

Connect the LAN port on the rear of the MEISTERSTÜCK 3 to a network cable.

2. Connect the router

Connect the other end of the network cable to an available LAN port on your router or network switch. The network connection is then established automatically.

Additional network setup options

In addition to connecting via WPS or LAN, you can also set up and manage the network connection via the Network settings of the MEISTERSTÜCK 3.

There you can, among other things, select available Wi-Fi networks and configure additional network settings.

For a stable Wi-Fi connection, the MEISTERSTÜCK 3 should be within range of your router whenever possible. Metal surfaces, reinforced concrete walls or other radio sources may impair signal quality.
When using Wi-Fi repeaters or mesh systems, connection problems may occur in individual cases. Make sure that your network is configured correctly.
A wired LAN connection generally provides the most stable network connection for streaming services, Internet radio and software updates.
Network settings can be adjusted at any time via the device menu.
