Trigger Out
Via the TRIGGER OUT you can automatically switch an external amplifier with a compatible 12 V trigger input on and off.
A trigger output sends an electrical control signal to a connected device. This signal controls whether it is switched on or off. Audio is transmitted via a separate connection.
Connect an external amplifier
Connect the TRIGGER OUT connection on the rear of the sonoro STREAMER to the external amplifier’s TRIGGER IN using a suitable 3.5 mm jack cable.
The external amplifier must have a compatible 12 V trigger input.
→ For an overview of the connections, see Device rear.
Automatic control
The trigger output responds to the sonoro STREAMER’s audio signal:
- When an audio signal is active, the trigger output supplies 12 V DC. This allows the connected amplifier to switch on automatically.
- If there is no audio signal for more than 2 minutes, the trigger output switches to 0 V. This allows the connected amplifier to switch off automatically.
- The trigger output’s default state is 0 V.
ℹ The external amplifier’s switching behaviour depends on its trigger function.
