PRE-OUT connection

Via the PRE-OUT preamplifier output, you can send the device’s audio signal to external audio devices.

This connection is suitable, for example, for an external amplifier or multichannel power amplifiers.

Possible applications

Via the PRE-OUT you can connect the following devices, for example:

  • powered speakers
  • an additional power amplifier
ℹ Also follow the operating instructions for the connected audio device.

Connect an external audio device

Connect the PRE-OUT to the corresponding input of the external audio device using a suitable audio cable.

ℹ Use the designated audio input on the connected device. On an active subwoofer, this may be labelled LINE IN, LFE or SUB IN.

Volume and sound

The device’s settings for Volume and sound also affect the signal at the PRE-OUT.

Changing the volume on the device therefore also changes the PRE-OUT output level.

ℹ This allows you, for example, to adjust the volume of a connected active subwoofer together with the device’s volume.
