Cyber Security

Authentication

To ensure secure access to your sonoro device via a network connection, initial authentication is required when you first:

  • use an unknown mobile device,
  • use a new PC or laptop and/or a new browser,
  • connect a new Smart Home system, or
  • have reset your music system to factory settings.

A security prompt appears on the device display with the options “Yes” / “No”. You must use this prompt to confirm access directly on the device.

Every new access attempt from a previously unknown device or system requires this confirmation.

If the user confirms the request on the device with “Yes”, the device can be controlled via the app, a Smart Home system, or the web client.

If confirmation is denied, the corresponding external system or control device is listed under “Blocked devices”.

You can find an overview of blocked devices under:

Settings → Cyber Security → Blocked devices

Only after the device has been removed from the “Blocked devices” list can that external system or control device submit another request.

ℹ The maximum confirmation time is 150 seconds. After this time has elapsed, a new access request must be submitted.
ℹ If you want to approve several new devices for a sonoro device and they are not in the immediate vicinity of the sonoro device, you can also approve them via the sonoro app.

First approve the device on which the sonoro app is installed. Then select the corresponding sonoro device in the app. From there, you can approve additional devices without having to be directly at the sonoro device.
