Connecting to a network

To use internet radio, streaming services, software updates and other network functions, the ATRON must be connected to a network.

Two options are available for quick setup: a wireless connection via WPS or a wired connection via LAN.

Connection via WPS

If your router supports WPS, you can connect the ATRON to your Wi-Fi network without entering the Wi-Fi password manually.

Press the WPS button on the router

1. Press the WPS button on the router

Press the WPS button on your router to start the WPS function.

Activate WPS on the ATRON or using the remote control

2. Activate WPS on the ATRON

On the ATRON or the remote control, press and hold OK and 1 simultaneously for 2 seconds. The WPS function is activated and the ATRON connects to your Wi-Fi network.

Your router must support WPS. For information about your router's WPS function, see its user manual.

Connection via LAN

Alternatively, you can connect the ATRON directly to your router or network using a network cable.

Connect the LAN cable to the ATRON

1. Connect the ATRON

Connect the LAN connector on the ATRON using a network cable.

2. Connect the router

Connect the other end of the network cable to a free LAN port on your router or network switch. The network connection is then established automatically.

Other network setup options

In addition to WPS or LAN, you can set up and manage the network connection using the Network settings of the ATRON.

There you can select available Wi-Fi networks and configure other network settings.

→ See chapter: Network settings

For a stable Wi-Fi connection, the ATRON should be within range of your router. Metal surfaces, reinforced concrete walls or other radio sources may affect signal quality.
Wi-Fi repeaters or mesh systems may occasionally cause connection issues. Ensure that your network is configured correctly.
A wired LAN connection generally provides the most stable connection for streaming services, internet radio and software updates.
You can adjust network settings at any time using the device menu.
