Check the software

Music systems already supplied may require a software update over the internet to support sonoro Multiroom®. Before setup, check for available updates on the participating devices.

How a group works

The master device is the source device. It shares its current audio source with the group. The other participants are called slave devices or group devices and play the audio signal in sync.

The first music system you select when creating a group automatically becomes the master. Therefore, first select the device whose source you want to hear in the other rooms.

Example: The AMPLIFIER in the living room receives TV audio. As the master, it shares this audio with the other group members. In a second group, another source device can play radio at the same time.

One group per device

Each music system can belong to only one Multiroom group at a time. A master cannot simultaneously play the output of another master. If the master of an existing group is assigned to another group, its previous group is dissolved.

Setup and operation

  1. Prepare the network and app: Connect the music systems and authorise your mobile device on the participating systems. See Requirements for the steps.
  2. Set up and use groups: Operation explains how to create, change and dissolve a group and provides information on playback, volume and standby.

If a device does not appear or playback cuts out, start with the network checks.
