Electrical safety

The device is operated with electrical current, therefore there is always a risk of electric shock. Pay particular attention to the following:

  • Never touch the power plug with wet hands.
  • When unplugging the device, always pull directly on the power plug. Never pull on the cable, as this may damage it.
  • Ensure that access to the power outlet is always unobstructed so that the plug can be removed immediately in an emergency.
  • Ensure that the power cable is not kinked, pinched, or run over. Route the cable so that it does not pose a tripping hazard or can be reached by children.
  • Plug/socket: Do not modify or bypass the safety function of polarized or grounded plugs. If the plug does not fit, consult a qualified electrician.
  • Disconnecting from mains: To interrupt operation/charging, unplug the power cable from the socket; observe safety instructions when reconnecting.
  • Repairs may only be carried out by qualified personnel (e.g. in case of damaged cable/plug, liquid ingress, foreign objects, dropping, malfunction).
  • To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover (or bottom part). Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
  • The device contains magnetic components. If you have implanted medical devices, consult a physician before use.

Battery

  • Do not immerse the battery in water.
  • Do not throw the battery into fire or a heating device.
  • Do not transport or store the battery together with metal objects such as necklaces or hairpins.
  • Avoid dropping the battery or stepping on it.
  • Do not puncture the battery with nails or other sharp objects.
  • Never expose the battery to extremely high or low temperatures that may result in explosion or leakage of flammable liquids or gases.
  • If the battery leaks and the substance comes into contact with your eyes, do not rub them; rinse thoroughly with clean running water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention immediately to avoid eye damage.
  • If the battery emits an odor, generates heat, becomes discolored, deformed, or appears abnormal during use, charging, or storage, remove it from the device immediately and dispose of it.
  • If the battery terminals become dirty, clean them with a dry cloth before further use.
  • When the battery has reached the end of its service life, wrap the fully discharged battery in insulating tape and dispose of it in an appropriate recycling container.
  • Do not damage or deform batteries.
  • Dispose of used batteries in accordance with the battery manufacturer’s instructions and applicable environmental regulations. Do not open, puncture, incinerate, or expose the battery to conductive materials, moisture, liquids, fire, or temperatures above 50 °C.
  • Never expose the battery to extremely low air pressure, as this may lead to explosion or leakage of flammable liquids or gases.
  • Only use batteries of the same or an equivalent type. Replacing the battery with an incorrect type may cause risks. Explosion hazard!
  • Always keep new and used batteries away from infants and children.

Transport / shipping

  • Improper transport/shipping may damage the surface of the device or the media inside and lead to malfunctions.
  • Store the device in a vehicle in such a way that occupants are not endangered.
  • If you transport or ship the device, pack it in the original packaging. Keep the packaging for this purpose.
  • If the original packaging is no longer available, use another sufficiently sized box and fill empty spaces with polystyrene.
